Concussions and Injuries: From Prevention to Treatment
Join us at the next DHSPA meeting as we welcome two preeminent physicians nationally recognized in their respective fields who will discuss how to recognize and respond to, as well as the treatment and prevention of, concussions and sports injuries. Chris Manfredonia, our new DHS Athletic Director, will moderate.
Dr. Jordan Metzl , consistently voted among NY Magazine’s top doctors, is a sports medicine physician at Hospital for Special Surgery, bestselling author, and regular health and fitness contributor on the Today Show, NPR and toThe New York Times. His focus is to safely return athletes to the playing field of their choice and keep them there.
Dr. Michael Lee , a Board Certified pediatrician, has been helping children and teens with concussions for almost a decade. His innovative treatment for the management of concussions has been widely adopted across the country. Dr. Lee is a founding member of the Connecticut Concussion Task Force.
